Once again, Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza proved that he is a legitimate threat in the middleweight division.

The former Strikeforce champion landed a head-kick and finished Derek Brunson off Saturday night in the main event of UFC on FOX 27. The card took place from the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, with the main card airing live on FOX.

Back in 2012, Souza knocked out Brunson while both were competing in Strikeforce. Five years later, it was the same result.

In the co-main event, Andre Fili claimed an interesting split decision over Dennis Bermudez.

Two judges ruled it in favor of Fili, 29-28, but the third had Bermudez sweeping all three rounds.

The win gave Fili his first career win streak in 10 appearances inside the Octagon.
