Detroit and UFC 218 finally has a main event, as featherweight champion Max Holloway defends vs. Frankie Edgar.

Set from the Little Caesars Arena on December 2, the bout will be the first title defense for Holloway.

Holloway (18-3) claimed the interim title in 2016 with a finish vs. Anthony Pettis, unifying the belts when he stopped Jose Aldo this past June. Both finishes came in the third round for the Hawaiian, who has not lost since a 2013 decision to Conor McGregor.

Edgar (22-5-1) has won two straight over Yair Rodriguez and Jeremy Stephens since a decision defeat to Aldo. The former lightweight champion is 7-1 over his last eight.
