Gabriel Gonzaga, who fought 22 times for the UFC and won 12 of those bouts, will make his boxing debut next month at New England’s Future 4.

Gonzaga is expected to face Alando Pugh, a 12-fight boxing veteran with just one in those bouts.

“When I first saw Gabriel sparring, I knew he had potential to beat a lot of heavyweights around,” Gonzaga trainer Rocky Gonzalez said in a press release. “He had a lot going on at that time, and he was still under contract with the UFC. Now, it’s a great opportunity for him.”
