Lion Fight officials announced plans for Lion Fight 38 recently.

The event takes place September 29 from Foxwoods Resort Casino and will feature Ton Anucha vs. Saemapetch Fairtex for the super lightweight title.

Lion Fight Promotions, the worldwide leader in Muay Thai combat, returns to Foxwoods Resort Casino on Friday, September 29th with a roster of international stars and new talent.

Headlining the card is showdown for the Lion Fight super lightweight title as former Lumpinee Stadium champion Tong “Tukkatong” Anucha takes on rival Thai Saemapetch Fairtex.

Lion Fight 38 will air live on AXS TV Fights in the United States as well as on Fight Network throughout Canada, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

The main event is a battle pitting a legend versus the young lion. Anucha (165-30-8) captured championship belts in both Lumpinee Stadium and Channel 7 competition in Thailand. Chasing him down now is Saemapetch (115-14-1), who is just 22 years old but already has a noteworthy achievement having won Tiger Cement gold four years ago.

A top contender in the light heavyweight division will come out of the clash between Seattle’s Juan Jackson (9-1) and New York City’s Elijah Clarke (6-1) – both newcomers to the Lion Fight roster.

Lion Fight has quickly established a strong cruiserweight division, now headed by newly crowned champion Chip Moraza-Pollard. His next challenger may come out of a matchup that will see long-time contender Brett Hlavacek (18-6), who fights out of New York City, take on promotional newcomer Timothy Woods (8-1) of Fairfax, Virginia.

Two international stars will help Lion Fight usher in a new women’s division as well. The light flyweight ranks will open up with Italy’s Silvia LaNotte taking on Thailand’s Stamp Fairtex (60-15-5).

Lion Fight 38 will also mark the return of two of the organization’s hottest prospects. Lightweight Jafar “The Cookie” Monster” Toshev and heavyweight Steve “Put ’Em To Sleep” Walker, who both scored highlight-reel knockouts in their respective debuts, will be part of action.

Also slated to be part of the action will be fan favorite Brian “Magoo” Bogue, who will make his long-awaited professional debut. Opponents for those three fighters will be confirmed shortly.Pro and amateur bouts will round out the prelim card.
