Liam McGeary finished Brett McDermott in the second round to get back on track Friday night in the main event of Bellator 173.

The event took place inside The SSE Hydro Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The main card aired via delay on Spike after BAMMA held a card earlier in the day.

McGeary dropped the Bellator light heavyweight title to Phil Davis, but had little trouble getting back in the win column to improve to 12-1 in his career. McDermott (7-5) accepted the fight on short notice.

In the co-main, James Gallagher submitted Kirill Medvedovsky to push his record to 6-0.
