Tito Ortiz stunned Chael Sonnen Saturday night, choking out the former UFC title contender in the main event of Bellator 170.

Ortiz locked up a choke from the mount early in the first round. The former UFC champion had said before that this would be his final fight.

Sonnen was making his Bellator debut after serving a lengthy suspension for taking banned substances while with the UFC.

Paul Daley stole the show, as “Semtex” connected with a violent flying knee on Brennan Ward in the co-main event. Daley’s shot landed at the 2:27 mark, and Ward was stretched out of the cage.

Officials did confirm that Ward was responsive and moving before being transported to a local hospital.

Hisaki Kato earned a decision over Ralek Gracie, Emmanuel Sanchez did the same vs. Georgi Karakhanyan and Derek Campos kicked off the main card with a decision over Derek Anderson.
