Weigh-in issues caused Kelvin Gastelum to miss out on a fight with Donald Cerrone at UFC 205 earlier this month.
And now, it appears they will cost the former Ultimate Fighter winner even more.
ESPN is reporting that the New York Athletic Commission has suspended Gastelum six months for missing weigh-ins. The fighter did not step on the scale in New York City after struggling again to cut down to 170 pounds.
It was the third time that Gastelum has missed weight at welterweight. Gastelum’s management team is planning an appeal of the suspension.
