Ross Pearson is still bothered by the controversial 2014 decision loss given to him vs Diego Sanchez.

After a win over Chad Laprise Saturday night at UFC Fight Night 85, Pearson (19-10) took the chance to make sure everyone knows he wants another crack at Sanchez, while also keeping his card open for possible bout with Gilbert Melendez and Eddie Alvarez.

“But if there’s one name in my career that I need to whip so bad (it) is Diego Sanchez,” Pearson said (thanks to for the quotes). “It’s like, you mother (expletive). You got away that night. I love Diego, love what he’s all about.

“He’s an old-school guy and stands in the middle of the cage and fights. But there’s no way he won that fight. The world knows it.”

Pearson, a former winner on The Ultimate Fighter like Sanchez, has alternated wins and losses since a 2013 no-contest vs. Melvin Guillard. He is 4-4 over his last eight, besting Laprise, Paul Felder, Sam Stout and Gray Maynard.
