Tony Ferguson’s seven-fight win streak will be on the line this March, as the former Ultimate Fighter winner meets Michael Johnson at UFC 197.

Set for March 5 from Las Vegas, the lightweight title will be defended in the main event, as Conor McGregor challenges Rafael dos Anjos.

Ferguson (21-3) scored a submission victory over Edson Barboza recently for his fifth finish during his current win streak.

Johnson (17-10) is coming off second straight decision loss, this time to Nate Diaz. He is an Ultimate Fighter runner-up who won four straight prior to a controversial split decision defeat last August to Beneil Dariush.

Back in 2012, Johnson claimed a decision victory over Ferguson. That was the last loss for “El Cucuy” to date and the only one he has suffered in 11 Octagon appearances overall.

The Ferguson-Johnson fight was first confirmed by LA Daily News.
