It’s been somewhat quiet on the what’s next for Conor McGregor front, but based off new comments from Dana White, it looks like the UFC might be looking at having “Notorious” fight Rafael dos Anjos.

Since 2015 came to an end, neither the promotion’s brass or McGregor has said much about what’s next for the featherweight champ. McGregor has repeatedly said he wants to move to 155, but after RDA quickly took out Donald Cerrone at UFC on FOX 17, the consensus has been a bout with Frankie Edgar is more likely. The argument being that’s the bigger fight to go with right now.

Well, White appeared on latest edition of “UFC Tonight” on Wednesday, and he was asked about the possibility of McGregor moving to lightweight. Here is some of what White had to say about the subject (quote via MMA

“Conor has said that he would like to win the 155-pound belt and fight four times a year and defend both belts,” White said. “If anybody can do it, Conor McGregor can. This guy has pretty much done everything he said he would do, so, I’m interested.”

Yes, a lot of other folks are interested in seeing that as well.

White was also asked to explain why the company has done somewhat of a reversal on this, in terms of letting a champion move up to another division without vacating the title. According to White, however, he has faith that McGregor can live up to the demands of ruling two divisions…It will be interesting to see how other fighters take this news no?

So, let the speculation begin. Could RDA vs. McGregor be coming to a TV near you soon?
