Ronda Rousey has already entrenched a legacy that includes becoming the first UFC woman champion, a Strikeforce title and a Olympic bronze medal in Judo, but “Rowdy” clearly wants more.

Rousey has said in the past that she’s not sure how long she’ll fight for, and that she doesn’t see herself competing¬†into her 30’s. If that’s the case, however, then the 28 year-old is running out of time to accomplish what she recently relayed at a media function (quote via MMA

“My goals are so crazy that what I’d really like to do — and I don’t know if I have the time, I just want to do so many things — I want to be remembered as one of the greatest fighters of all time, in any sport,” Rousey said. “I’ve got an Olympic medal. I would want to retire from MMA as one of the greatest of all time. I would love to have a chance to be the boxing world champion. I would love to have a chance to be a jiu-jitsu world champion. And I would love to have a chance to be the [WWE] Divas world champion and just be the best at everything at one point. How that is possible to do, I’m gonna have to figure that out. But I’m trying to figure it out and if anybody is capable, I think that I am.”

Interesting. What really stands out here is Rousey’s comments about boxing (although the stuff about the WWE is eyebrow raising), as she also added during the media day that she wants to be “more involved with the sport”. It seems pretty clear that Rousey has really fallen in love with boxing, and her striking has come a very long ways–in a brief amount of time–as a result.

But, the UFC has never signed off on having one of their fighters, much less it’s biggest star, compete in professional boxing at the same time. That said, back when Anderson Silva was still ruling the middleweight division, Dana White did seem somewhat open to “The Spider’s” wish to box Roy Jones Jr.

All this talk about boxing, pro-wrestling etc aside, up next, Rousey will take on Holly Holm at UFC 193. The card will air here in North America on November 14th and will be hosted by Melbourne, Australia.
