There’s no question that nearly everyone agrees Ronda Rousey is one of the most dominant fighters in the sport, but is Conor McGregor in that category? “Notorious” says yes.

McGregor is preparing to fight featherweight champion Jose Aldo on December 12th, after laying claim to the interim belt in July, by stopping contender Chad Mendes.

In a recent promo for the upcoming season of “The Ultimate Fighter”, McGregor was asked about Rousey, and how he stacks up with the bantamweight champ. Here is some of what McGregor had to say (quote via MMA

“I feel both of us are equal at the top of the game,” said McGregor. “She is a special athlete and I’m happy to be up there with Ronda at the top of the game.”

“I believe, in the male spectrum, that I’m dominating the game. 100 precent. However, in the female aspect, Ronda is a two-time ESPY winner now. She’s a dominant champion. It’s very hard for her because she is so dominant.”

How about that? Now will fans agree with this? It likely depends on how big of a McGregor fan you are. The latter has won six straight fights since he entered the UFC, but he hasn’t faced as many top contenders that Rousey has. McGregor also took some big shots, and appeared to be in trouble, before he came from behind to stop Mendes.

“Rowdy”, meanwhile, continues to absolutely storm through whomever she faces. Now if McGregor goes on to take out Aldo, who is the greatest featherweight of all time, well….

McGregor will take on Aldo at UFC 194 on December 12th, and Rousey is scheduled to fight Holly Holm at UFC 193 on November 14th.
