Heavyweights Mark Hunt and Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva will rematch from their epic 2013 draw this November at UFC 193.
Hunt, who has won just once in his last three fights since that night vs. Silva, plans to make sure the contest doesn’t go the full length this time around. That December battle went 25 minutes, while the won on November 14 from Melbourne, Australia serves as the co-main event.
“It will end pretty quickly,” said Hunt, during a recent interview with Submission Radio. “First round by knockout. First round.
“It’s a three-round fight and I don’t think it’s going to go three rounds at all. I’m gonna be getting into my training and starting my camp in the next couple of weeks so I’ll be in tip-top shape. I won’t make the same mistake I did last time.”
While the decision remained a draw vs. Silva, the Brazilian failed his post-fight drug test for elevated levels of TRT. With stricter rules in place, Hunt just plans to leave the drug testing up to the professionals.
“It’s not my worry or concern on what they can do,” he said. “I can’t control what they can do. I can only control what I do.”
