For the second time in three Octagon bouts, Warlley Alves scored a submission, tapping out Nordine Taleb at UFC 190 Saturday night.

The 24-year-old Alves (10-0) pushed his UFC mark to 3-0, adding to 2014 wins over Alan Jouban and Marcio Alexandre.

“I am real happy,” he said. “I knew he would leave his head to that side and I was expecting it. I grabbed his neck and that was it.”

For the Brazilian, it marked his 10th win in his native country. On his way to being crowned Ultimate Fighter: Brazil winner, Alves won three times.

“I couldn’t land my kicks,” he said. “I opened up and landed a cross. I put him on the cage and took him down.”
