Clint Hester vs. Vitor Miranda

We’ll conclude the early Fight Pass prelims with middleweights Clint Hester (11-4) and Vitor Miranda (10-4).

Round 1: Hester keeping Miranda at bay with his wrestling, scoring a takedown. Miranda, though, reverses and is on top, doing damage with heavy, heavy lefts. He’s peppering him with quick shots to the face, really imposing his will on Hester here. Big cut has been opened up over the eye of Hester from the shots. He’s working for a potential head-and-arm choke but the round comes to an end, saving Hester.

Round 2: Hester working hard for the takedown again this round, but Miranda denies it and sweeps him off his feet with a swift kick. More kicks to the lead leg by “Lex Luthor,” as Hester tries a spinning attack. Hester is the more aggressive fighter, moving forward constantly. He shoots for another takedown and Miranda elects to just pull guard more or less and hammer away to the body. Back to the feet and a knee just misses by the Brazilian. Miranda on top, pounding away and this might get a stoppage. He’s really working over Hester with more than half the round remaining. A series of elbows and Herb Dean steps in, calling a stop to this one.
