Peter Sobotta finds himself on a nice two-fight run since returning to the UFC, adding a submission win over Steve Kennedy Saturday at UFC Fight Night 69.
After quickly bringing Kennedy to the ground, Sobotta continued to work for a choke, locking up a rear-naked on the debuting fighter.
“My best area is on the ground,” he said. “The most important thing is the head and the heart.
“I got more confidence becoming older. I didn’t change a lot of things, still using the same training and team.”
Sobotta (15-4-1) has won seven fights in a row and is unbeaten in his last eight since a 2010 decision loss to Amir Sadollah. In his first Octagon stint, he went 0-3, losing all three via decision.
