Randa Markos remembered her accomplishments against Aisling Daly during their time together on The Ultimate Fighter 20, using that to her advantage at UFC 186 Saturday night.
Markos pushed her record to 5-2 with a decision win over Daly, keeping her spot in the UFC’s ever-developing strawweight division.
“I caught her with that move (hip toss takedown) on The Ultimate Fighter,” she said. “That’s why I went for it.
“I have been busting my (expletive) every single day since my last fight. I gave it everything I’ve got.”
Markos suffered a split decision loss to Jessica Penne last December in her official Octagon debut after a solid run on TUF. She entered the Daly (15-6) bout having lost two of her last three pro bouts.
“Aisling is an awesome athlete, well rounded,” Markos said. “I knew it would be a brawl and I was ready for it.”
