If you watched yesterday’s UFC 189 World Championship Tour event in Dublin, then you know it was a bit of a gong show.

Not only was Jose Aldo repeatedly slammed by the fans in attendance, but Conor McGregor snatched the featherweight champ’s belt at one point, and the two had to be separated. While there’s been a lot of craziness and intensity during the World Tour, yesterday’s event likely reached new levels in that respect.

While Aldo was visibly annoyed and or angry–as the guy was repeatedly insulted by fans–he told UFC Brasil the following after the event (translation via MMA Fighting.com):

“I didn’t feel anything,” Aldo said. “That’s the best he can do because next time he’s in front of me, I will beat the sh*t out of his face.”

“Now it’s time to go home, train and train,” Aldo relayed. “Brother, I will run through him like a runaway truck. I will smash him.”

Whoa. How about that? Now no one likes to get hit by a truck of course, especially one that’s a runway…

It’s interesting to see Aldo make comments like this, as considering what he’s endured throughout much of the tour, the champ’s remained pretty composed all things considered. Aldo had a quite a rivalry going with Chad Mendes, and the two had some pretty nasty things to say about each other at times, but the beef with McGregor seems to be bigger no?

UFC 189 will go down on July 11th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.  The card will also feature welterweight champ Robbie Lawler taking on Rory MacDonald.
