Kelvin Gastelum’s debut as a middleweight will come in Mexico later this year, as The Ultimate Fighter winner takes on Nate Marquardt at UFC 188.
Set for June 13, the card features Cain Velasquez and Fabricio Werdum meeting to unify the heavyweight titles.
Gastelum (10-1) suffered his first career loss to Tyron Woodley via split decision this past January. Prior to the defeat, he had trouble weighing in and UFC president Dana White stated that his next fight would come up a weight class.
Marquardt (33-14-2) lost in January to Brad Tavares and is just 1-4 in his last five fights overall.
