Ronda Rousey will take her talents to Brazil, defending the UFC female bantamweight championship against Bethe Correia August 1 at UFC 190.

The bout was confirmed by UFC president Dana White on Friday. It will main event the pay-per-view from Rio de Janeiro and the HSBC Arena.

Rousey and Correia were both in attendance at a press conference to make the announcement, with “Rowdy” throwing down the challenge to the Brazilian.

“The fact is she disrespected my friends and my family,” Rousey said. “And if you (expletive) with my family, you’re (expletive). It’s about proving a point.

“I don’t want to just beat Bethe, I want her to leave the arena embarrassed.”

Correia responded by saying “After my first punch, Ronda will go down. She doesn’t like getting hit.” Correia’s scored wins over Rousey’s “Four Horsewomen” stablemates Jessamyn Duke and Shayna Baszler.

Also, Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 4 coaches Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira will square off at the card.

Rousey stated that Miesha Tate-Jessica Eye would collide at the event, but White stated that bout is scheduled for “sometime in June.” The winner is expected to face Rousey or Correia for the belt.
