Benson Henderson and Brandon Thatch weren’t originally scheduled to fight at UFC Fight Night 60, but the welterweights delivered on their main event status.

Thatch and Henderson¬†earned “Fight of the Night” honors and $50,000 each for their entertaining battle, which saw the latter end the fight with a fourth round, rear-naked-choke.

Thatch had won 10 straight bouts heading into the contest. Originally, Thatch was scheduled to fight Stephen Thompson on February 14th, but the latter was forced to withdraw due to injury. Henderson agreed on short notice to move up in weight and face “Rukus”.

Ray Borg picked up one of the “Performance of the Night” awards, and $50K, for tapping out Chris Kelades with a third round, kimura.

The other “POTN” went to welterweight Neil Magny, who took out Kiichi Kunimoto with a third round, rear-naked-choke.

UFC FN 60 went down at the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, Colorado.
