World Series of Fighting 18 kicked off a three-event, three-day stretch of MMA Thursday night, as Marlon Moraes earned a victory over Josh Hill.

The main card aired live on NBC Sports Network from Edmonton.

Moraes, the heavy favorite entering the fight, was pushed to the distance vs. Hill. He claimed a decision victory, retaining the WSOF bantamweight title in the process.

The night featured a pair of headbutts that ended bouts, including one involving Cody McKenzie.

McKenzie, who briefly retired and is an alum of The Ultimate Fighter, was disqualified for an intentional headbutt in his bout with Andrew McInnes in the first round. McInnes was declared the winner.

An early prelim fight between Matt Baker and Ali Mokdad was declared a no-contest due to an accidental headbutt.
