Not surprisingly, performance enhancing drugs continues to dominate the sport’s headlines, and recently big names like Ronda Rousey, Georges St-Pierre and Joe Rogan, among others, have weighed in on the troubling issue.

In the latest episode of “UFC Tonight”, light-heavyweight contender Daniel Cormier was asked for his thoughts on the recent rash of failed drug tests, and here is some of what “DC” had to say (quote via FOX Sports press release):

“When you look at social media, fans are saying this is bad for the UFC. I say it’s good. It’s working. Keep it up. It’s exposing these guys who are taking short cuts. Keep testing these guys. Tell them they can’t keep cheating. It’s not a bad thing. It’s a good thing. Do more [testing]. It doesn’t matter who you are, if you are doing things wrong, it will show it.”

One could certainly make the argument that the increase in random drug testing is nabbing more PED users, and now it remains to be seen if it will curb the use of banned substances moving forward.

PEDs aside, it was also recently announced that Cormier has been booked to face Ryan Bader on June 6th. That’s a big fight at 205.
