Former UFC lightweight No. 1 contender Gray Maynard will return to action this April, taking on Alexander Yakovlev at UFC Fight Night 63.

Set for April 4 from the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia, the card will air during the day due to the NCAA men’s basketball Final Four being that night.

Maynard (11-4-1) hasn’t scored a win since a 2012 split decision over Clay Guida, dropping his last three – all via knockout. Last August, he was stopped in the second round by Ross Pearson.

Yakovlev (21-6) will be making his debut at lightweight after dropping two straight in the UFC at welterweight.
