Benson Henderson stated after his loss to Donald Cerrone that he was ready to get back in the Octagon.

UFC officials took notice, booking Henderson on two weeks notice to replace Stephen Thompson and face Brandon Thatch in the main event of UFC Fight Night 60. The event takes place February 14 from Broomfield, Colorado.

Henderson (21-5) will be competing at welterweight after a successful run that included becoming the UFC lightweight champion. He was expected to meet Jorge Masvidal next month. A new opponent will be found for Masvidal.

Thatch (11-1) has won his last 10, including two wins inside the Octagon.
