Benson Henderson Set To Face Brandon Thatch At UFN 60

Benson Henderson stated after his loss to Donald Cerrone that he was ready to get back in the Octagon.

UFC officials took notice, booking Henderson on two weeks notice to replace Stephen Thompson and face Brandon Thatch in the main event of UFC Fight Night 60. The event takes place February 14 from Broomfield, Colorado.

Henderson (21-5) will be competing at welterweight after a successful run that included becoming the UFC lightweight champion. He was expected to meet Jorge Masvidal next month. A new opponent will be found for Masvidal.

Thatch (11-1) has won his last 10, including two wins inside the Octagon.

Flyweight: Ray Borg vs. Chris Kelades


Featherweight: Nik Lentz vs. Thiago Tavares

Lightweight: Efrain Escudero vs. Rodrigo de Lima

    really interesting fight, and I’d favor Benson even though he is the one going up in weight.
    Will give us a good idea of how high Brandon Thatch really could be headed

    Other than that, while there is a few fighters on here I’m looking forward to, this is a strange card to have on Fox. Not sure who this card is going to appeal to?
    Also surely Nik Lentz vs. Thiago Tavares should be on the main card?
