Anderson Silva took a little while to get going, but the legendary fighter turned it up, and went on to defeat Nick Diaz at UFC 183.

Diaz taunted Silva relentlessly in the opening moments of tonight’s main event, and at one juncture, the outspoken fighter even laid on the Octagon floor. While Silva seemed somewhat reserved in the opening rounds of the fight, the former middleweight champ began to crank up the offense as the fight wore on.

Diaz never appeared to be in danger of getting stopped, but by the fifth round, it seemed pretty clear that the bloodied fighter needed a stoppage to get the win. After the bout concluded, Silva was awarded the unanimous decision victory, and “The Spider” broke into tears. The bout marked the first time Silva has fought, since he broke his leg while fighting Chris Weidman in December, 2013.

When Silva was asked about whether he’ll fight again, he noted that his family wants him to retire, and said he’ll take some time to think about what’s next. Diaz, meanwhile, relayed in his post fight interview that he thought he won the fight.

Here are the results from tonight’s card, which took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
