The recent Bellator 132 card featuring a main event between Patricio “Pitbull” Freire and Daniel Straus generated 767,000 viewers on Spike TV, according to numbers released by Nielsen.

Freire and Straus had the peak viewership at 1.2 million during their battle for the featherweight title. Freire earned a submission win to retain his title.

It was the first event of 2015 for Bellator, which returns with Bellator 133 on February 13.

Also this past weekend, the World Series of Fighting aired WSOF 17 on NBC Sports Network. In the main event, Jake Shields earned a victory over Brian Foster, and the card itself drew 222,000 viewers.

The last WSOF card to generate at least 200,000 viewers was also headlined by Shields this past October.
