If Brock Lesnar decides to return to the UFC, then the  former champ and pro-wrestling star better avoid fighting Brendan Schaub, according to the latter.

Yes, Schaub is the latest fighter to field questions about Lesnar, who is reportedly nearing the end of his WWE contract. As a result, there’s been no shortage of discussion regarding the heavyweight as of late, and whether he’ll make another run in the UFC.

Schaub appeared on the Jason Ellis Show recently, and he was asked to weigh-in on Lesnar, who has yet to publicly disclose his future plans. According to a report from MMA Fighting.com, Schaub had this to say about the wrestler:

“Doing fake wrestling is not the same as being in the UFC. You’re playing grab ass,” Schaub said. “You know if you’re going to win or lose. Yeah, it’s hard on your body. Great. He hasn’t been competing and training like I have. If he comes back to the UFC, I would 100 percent send him packing back to the fake wrestling.”

That’s a pretty bold prediction no? Schaub was apparently asked why he would have a better chance against Lesnar, then Frank Mir, and he argued:

“I have better striking and takedown defense and our jiu-jitsu is different. Mir is a leg lock specialist. I’m not a leg lock guy.”

Now, it should be noted that Schaub apparently went on to praise Lesnar for his athleticism and wrestling abilities. As a result, Schaub acknowledged the heavyweight will still be successful, if he returns to MMA.

So, the Lesnar speculation and talk continues, and it will be interesting to see if in fact the star returns to the UFC. Lesnar hasn’t fought now since December, 2011, when he was stopped by Alistair Overeem at UFC 141. Following the bout, which marked Lesnar’s return from a lengthy fight with diverticulitis, the heavyweight announced he was done fighting.

Schaub is looking to rebound from a first round, stoppage loss to Travis Browne in December. “Big Brown” has gone 2-3 in his last 5 scraps.
