If you thought Conor McGregor’s recent prediction that he’ll take out Dennis Siver in two minutes was bold, wait till you hear what his head coach, John Kavanagh, is saying about the upcoming scrap…

Of course, McGregor has made numerous headlines by making some pretty memorable statements,  so his latest prediction probably didn’t turn as many heads as normal. Well, recently Kavanagh spoke to Ireland’s Independent publication, and here is what the renowned coach had to say about McGregor’s call:

“I don’t know I think he’s (McGregor) wrong to be honest,” Kavanagh said. “I can’t see it go past a minute.”

One minute huh? Clearly motivation shouldn’t be an issue for Siver heading into the fight.  Despite the brash prediction, thought, Kavanagh did add that he and McGregor are taking the Siver fight extremely serious.

“Conor is in the gym every day and the prep is the same. By no means are we kicking back in the gym with cigars and whiskey and looking past the next fight and towards Aldo.”

UFC FN 59 will be hosted by Boston’s TD Garden Arena. If McGregor defeats Siver, he will advance to face the aforementioned, featherweight champ, Jose Aldo.

The January 18th card will also feature Benson Henderson taking on fellow lightweight contender, Donald Cerrone.
