On Friday night, the first-ever UFC strawweight champion will be crowned. A day later, the likely No. 1 contender in the female division will be named.

Claudia Gadelha and Joanna Jedrzejczyk meet at UFC on FOX 13, and Gadelha recently told MMAFighting.com that she has been guaranteed the winner with a win.

“Whoever wins that fight, fights for the belt,” she said.

Gadelha (12-0) was expected to be a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter 20, but the series of weight-cuts forced her off the show. She made her Octagon debut this past July, defeating Tina Lahdemaki. The 26-year-old owns eight finishes in her career, including six via submission.

The removal from TUF was a blessing in disguise for the Brazilian, she said, adding “I’m so happy to not be there. I’m happy also to make the debut and be the contender.”

Jedrzejczyk (7-0) also debuted this past July in the UFC, defeating Juliana Lima. She has scored two knockout and a submission win to her credit, including a victory over Rosi Sexton earlier this year.
