Another episode of “UFC Tonight” aired this past Wednesday night and brought with it a number of interesting updates on fighters. Inside Ariel Helwani provided the following items during the telecast:

Helwani on Luke Rockhold’s new contract:

“Luke Rockhold had a meeting with UFC and was giving a new eight-fight deal. Dana White says they’re giving him a big fight next. He’ll fight one more time before getting a shot at the belt.”

Helwani on who Ovince Saint Preux wants to fight next:

“Ovince Saint Preux wants to return late winter and wants a fight against Phil Davis. Davis just told me he’s not seriously injured and wants to get back in there as soon as possible. He doesn’t care who he fights next.”

Helwani on T.J. Dillashaw return:

“I spoke to his manager and he said they want the Dominick Cruz fight in either February or March.”

Helwani on who Ricardo Lamas wants to fight next:

“Ricardo Lamas wants to fight Conor McGregor. If anything happens to Dennis Siver, he’ll jump in there in January and he thinks Conor needs to fight a wrestler.”

Helwani on injury updates:

“Michael McDonald had wrist surgery last week and hopes to come back in spring 2015. Bethe Correia suffered a detached retina and had surgery on right eye three weeks ago. She hopes to come back in March.”
