Former UFC champion Benson Henderson will return to the Octagon this January at UFC Fight Night 59 against Eddie Alvarez in the co-main event.

Earlier this year, Henderson sparked talk of a move to welterweight when he stated plans to fight once more at 155 pounds before shifting focus to a new goal.

Cutting down to lightweight has taken a toll on Henderson, but now, he sounds unsettled on his future after the Alvarez bout.

One thing is for sure, Henderson is taking the former Bellator champion 100-percent seriously. Alvarez made his debut in the UFC vs. Donald Cerrone, losing a decision. Henderson is also coming off a loss, having been stopped by Rafael dos Anjos.
