Khabib Nurmagomedov is recovering from a knee injury that knocked him out of a planned fight with Donald Cerrone.
With a perfect 22-0 record that includes six wins inside the Octagon, Nurmagomedov desires nothing more than being UFC champion.
But, he’ll have to wait as he recovers. For the time being, though, “The Eagle” has snapped a picture of himself with the world title on his shoulder.
“I feel stronger everyday,” he wrote on Sqor. “My rehab is going great. I can’t wait to get back in the cage and get my belt.”
The current champion, Anthony Pettis, will defend his title in December at UFC 181 against former Strikeforce champion Gilbert Melendez.
