Emanuel Newton will defend his Bellator light heavyweight title this Friday night on Spike TV in the main event of Bellator 124. Newton will face Joey Beltran.

Newton (23-7-1) unified the titles when he earned a split decision over Attila Vegh this past March for his fifth straight win. The 30-year-old also holds a pair of victories over former Strikeforce champion Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal to his credit.

Beltran (15-10) has posted a 1-1 mark since signing with Bellator after a run in the UFC. He is 2-3 with one no-contest in his last six, but did finish Vladimir Matyushenko in April.

Set for the Compuware Arena in Michigan, the main card will also feature the finals in the 205-pound tournament between Liam McGeary and Kelly Anundson. Other scheduled Spike TV bouts include L.C. Davis vs. Zeilton Rodrigues and Ryan Couture vs. John Schulz.
