Bellator and Spike TV have joined up to bring fans an up-close look at the rivalry between featherweight champion Pat Curran and challenger Patricio “Pitbull” Freire.

The two collide September 5 at Bellator 123 from Connecticut on Spike TV.

First up on Friday, August 29 will be a special hour-long program titled “Birth of a Rivalry: Curran-Pitbull I” that will debut at 11 p.m. ET. The show will feature a look-back at the five-round battle Curran won to retain his title.

On Monday, Sept. 1 there will be another hour-long special entitled “Countdown to Curran-Pitbull II” airing at 11 p.m. ET. Both shows are set for Spike TV network.

The “Countdown” episode also highlights fellow fighters that evening Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal, Cheick Kongo, Lavar Johnson and Bobby Lashley.

Replays for both are set for Sept. 5 for “Birth of a Rivalry) at 6 p.m. ET and Sept. 4 (11 p.m. ET) and 5 (7 p.m. ET) for “Countdown.”
