Two bouts have been announced for the UFC Fight Night 54 card, which takes place October 4 from Canada and the Halifax Metro Centre.

Bantamweight contenders Raphael Assuncao and Bryan Caraway, along with female strawweights Paige VanZant and Kailin Curran, have been added to a previously announced main event between Rory MacDonald and Tarec Saffiedine.

Assuncao (22-4) has won six in a row. That includes a split decision victory in Brazil over T.J. Dillashaw. Assuncao was expected to face Renan Barao for the UFC title, but an injury kept him from taking the fight.

Instead, Dillashaw stepped in and won. Now, Dillashaw and Barao are set for a rematch later this month at UFC 177.

Caraway (19-6) has posted a 4-1 record since his time on The Ultimate Fighter. He’s scored back-to-back submission victories over Erik Perez and Johnny Bedford since a split decision defeat to Takeya Mizugaki in 2013.

VanZant (3-1) was selected for the upcoming 20th season of TUF, but her age kept her from staying on the show. Curran (3-0) is the first female Hawaiian fighter to enter the Octagon.

Below is the current lineup, with more bouts expected to be added in the coming weeks:

Welterweight: Rory MacDonald vs. Tarec Saffiedine

Bantamweight: Raphael Assuncao vs. Bryan Caraway

Female Strawweight: Paige VanZant vs. Kailin Curran
