Officials Add Several Fights To UFC: Japan Card

The lineup for the UFC’s return to Japan later this year is rapidly filling up, as several new bouts have been placed on the UFC Fight Night: Nelson vs. Hunt card.

Set for September 20 from Saitama, Japan and the Saitama Super Arena, the card features a main event pitting Roy Nelson against Mark Hunt.

Other bouts recently announced include Sam Sicilia vs. Katsunori Kikuno, Yoshihiro Akiyama vs. Kyle Noke, Maximo Blanco vs. Dan Hooker and Johnny Case vs. Kazuki Tokudome.

Kyoji Horiguchi is expected to remain on the card despite losing his scheduled opponent, Chris Cariaso. Cariaso will challenge UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson in August.

Heavyweight: Roy Nelson vs. Mark Hunt

Female Bantamweight: Miesha Tate vs. Rin Nakai

Flyweight: Kyoji Horiguchi vs. TBA

Lightweight: Myles Jury vs. Takanori Gomi

Welterweight: Hyun Gyu Lim vs. Takenori Sato

Welterweight: Yoshihiro Akiyama vs. Kyle Noke

Featherweight: Sam Sicilia vs. Katsunori Kikuno

Lightweight: Johnny Case vs. Kazuki Tokudome

Featherweight: Maximo Blanco vs. Dan Hooker

Welterweight: Richard Walsh vs. Kiichi Kunimoto

    some really nice fights on this card, i do like the Japan events they have been putting on.
    Have to wonder though, why waste Akiyama on Kyle Noke? Guessing Akiyama probably doesn’t have too many fights left in him having lost 4 on the bounce, and no disrespect to Yoke, but there has to be a more entertaining fight they can put on
