The UFC returned to Ireland in impressive fashion Saturday with UFC Fight Night 46. With headliner Conor McGregor earning a victory in the main event, the Irish faithful that packed The O2 in Dublin went home happy.

“They blew the doors off this place,” UFC president Dana White said. “Every fighter wants to fight in Ireland now.”

Four fighters picked up $50,000 bonus checks, including McGregor, who earned a “Performance of the Night” honor. The other “Performance” bonus went to Gunnar Nelson.

The “Fight of the Night” was handed out to Cathal Pendred and Mike King. Pendred earned the win after surviving a first round dominated by King.

The attendance inside the arena was announced at 9,500 for a live gate of $1.4 million U.S.
