Vitor Belfort wasted no time making it known that he wants Chris Weidman and his shot at the UFC middleweight title.

“Now I want what I deserve,” Belfort posted on Instagram. “Title MY SHOT! Do not run away! No excuses! Now I want I deserve my title fight! Do not run away! No excuses!”

Belfort was removed from a proposed May championship match with Weidman after testing positive for elevated levels of TRT. The drug was banned by the UFC and Nevada Athletic Commission.

Since that time, Belfort has worked his way off TRT and believes he can get licensed to fight. He was expected to compete at UFC 175 against Chael Sonnen, but Sonnen pulled out after failing his own drug test.

Weidman successfully defended the title Saturday night with a decision victory over Lyoto Machida, moving to 12-0 in his career.
