Unlike most years, the UFC will not have a year-end card.

Instead, UFC 182 will take place January 3, according to a report by MMAjunkie.com. The event is expected to feature UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis against Gilbert Melendez.

Pettis and Melendez will be the head coaches on The Ultimate Fighter 20, which begins later this year, and features female strawweight fighters. The show will see the crowning of the first-ever 115-pound women’s champion in the UFC.

Usually, the UFC puts together a mega-card to close out the calendar year, but with Christmas taking place on a Thursday, they decided to move the card instead of hosting an event just two days later.
