A key lightweight contest has been added to the August UFC 176 card, as Tony Ferguson meets Danny Castillo.

Set for August 2 from Los Angeles and the Staples Center, the card features a main event between UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo and No. 1 contender Chad Mendes.

Ferguson (15-3) has scored back-to-back wins since a loss to Michael Johnson two years ago, including a recent stoppage win over Katsunori Kikuno. The former Ultimate Fighter winner is 5-1 with the UFC since 2011.

Castillo (17-6) will make it an all-California affair, as the Team Alpha Male fighter has posted a 3-1 mark in his last four. He finished Charlie Brenneman in April and is 7-3 in 10 Octagon appearances.
