An intriguing lightweight contest has been added to UFC on FOX 12, as Daron Cruickshank squares off with Jorge Masvidal.

Set for July 26 from the SAP Center in San Jose, the main card will air on FOX. News of the Cruickshank-Masvidal fight was first reported by FOX Sports.

Cruickshank (15-4) is coming off back-to-back TKO victories over Erik Koch and Mike Rio, with the latest coming earlier this month. He has posted a 5-2 mark since joining the UFC in 2012.

Among those five wins, Cruickshank has finished three opponents, as he also holds a knockout victory over Henry Martinez.

Masvidal (26-8) earned a decision win over Pat Healy this past April, improving to 3-1 since coming over from Strikeforce last year. Masvidal has also defeated Michael Chiesa and Tim Means, while losing via decision to Rustam Khabilov last November.

The lineup for the night has yet to be confirmed, but other fights expected include Anthony Johnson vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Josh Thomson vs. Michael Johnson. Neither of those, though, are expected to serve as the main event.
