The planned rematch between Johnny Bedford and Rani Yahya will have to wait, as Yahya has suffered an injury. In his place will step Cody Gibson at UFC Fight Night 44.

Set for June 28 from San Antonio and the AT&T Center, the card will feature a main event pitting Cub Swanson against Jeremy Stephens. The main card is scheduled to air on FOX Sports 1, with prelims on UFC Fight Pass.

Gibson (11-4) lost his Octagon debut to Aljamain Sterling this past February via decision. The defeat snapped a six-fight win streak for the 26-year-old, who owns four knockout and three submission victories to his resume.

Bedford (19-10-1) and Yahya (19-8) found to a no-contest earlier this year in Abu Dhabi in a fight Bedford felt he had won after delivering a knockout shot to Yahya.

However, the referee ruled that a previous headbutt was the result of the finish and declared the fight a no-contest. The two exchanged words inside the Octagon before agreeing to meet again soon. Officials moved quickly to book the bout for the card.
