The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America, with head coaches Cain Velasquez and Fabricio Werdum, will air this August on UFC Fight Pass. It will be an English language version of the series, which features Velasquez coaching Mexican fighters against Latin American ones led by Werdum.

The two coaches are scheduled to square off later this year at UFC 180 for the UFC heavyweight title.

“I’ve been waiting 15 years for this,” UFC president Dana White said. “Passion for fighting is unrivaled in Latin America. It’s part of their history and their culture. There’s a lot of potential in this season’s cast and I know they’re going to bring it every fight. Adding a little extra rivalry – pitting Mexico versus the rest of Latin America – doesn’t hurt either.”

Fans from the following countries will be able to catch the season on their respective free to air networks: Argentina: CN5, Bolivia: Red Uno, Mexico: Channel.5, Nicaragua: Channel 13, Panama: NexTV, Paraguay: Telefuturo and Uruguay: Channel 10. The season will premiere on these Networks the week of August 18, though dates and weekly episodes will vary per country. Viewers should check their local listings for further information.

Further airing networks will be added, along with UFC Network in Latin America subscribers being able to watch the program. Bantamweights and featherweights will square off over 12 weeks.

Team Velasquez will include Marco Beltran, Henry Briones, Alejandro Dominguez and Jose Quinonez for the bantamweight tournament, while Gabriel Benitez, Masio Fullen, Yair Rodriguez and Rodolfo Rubio comprise the featherweight ranks.

For Team Werdum, bantamweights are Guido Cannetti, Fredy Serrano, Bentley Syler and Marlon Vera, while Humberto Brown, Leonardo Morales, Diego Rivas and Alex Torres are the featherweights.

The tournament finales are also scheduled to be part of the UFC 180 card from Mexico City, Mexico.
