Due to Doo Ho Choi being removed, Sam Sicilia has found himself with a new opponent for UFC 173. Officials signed Aaron Phillips for the bout on May 24.

The event features a bantamweight title fight between champion Renan Barao and T.J. Dillashaw. Also, Dan Henderson will meet Daniel Cormier in the co-main and Robbie Lawler faces off with Jake Ellenberger.

Phillips (5-0) owns three first round knockouts to his credit and will be making his Octagon debut against the veteran of The Ultimate Fighter.

Sicilia (12-4) is the winner of two UFC bouts, including a November finish over Godofredo Pepey in Brazil. He is 2-3 overall with the promotion.
