Former UFC fighter Melvin Guillard will take on Gesias Cavalcante in his World Series of Fighting debut, the promotion confirmed. The two will meet at WSOF 11 in July.

The card is set to feature lightweight champion Justin Gaethje against Nick Newell and Jon Fitch vs. Jake Shields. It will take place July 5, but a venue has yet to be announced.

Guillard (31-13-2) was released by the UFC after going 2-5 with one no-contest in his last eight fights. The 31-year-old holds wins over the likes of Evan Dunham, Gleison Gibau and Dennis Siver, and will be fighting outside of the Octagon for the firs time since 2008.

Cavalcante (18-7-1) has spent the last two years fighting for WSOF, going 2-1. He lost to Gaethje back in 2013 via TKO, but rebounded in August to finish Tyson Griffin.
