The UFC will make a debut in New Zealand this June with UFC Fight Night 45. Officials announced the card and main event on Monday.

Nate Marquardt will return to the middleweight division to take on James Te Huna in the main event. The card goes down June 28 from Auckland’s Vector Arena.

Marquardt (32-12-2) is in his second stint with the UFC and lost his last three at welterweight. He is a former Strikeforce champion.

Te Huna (16-7) competed at light heavyweight in each of his past two bouts, including a loss to Mauricio “Shogun” Rua. He is a native of New Zealand and Darfield.

“We are very excited about the UFC’s debut in New Zealand,” said Tom Wright, managing director of New Zealand, Australia and Canada for the promotion. “This country has a proud and successful combat sports history and certainly punches above its weight with representation in the UFC.”

Marquardt-Te Huna is the lone fight announced to date for the card.
