Former Ultimate Fighter runner-up Vinny Magalhaes will not make his Titan FC debut next month, according to Jeff Aronson.

Aronson posted on Twitter Monday that Magalhaes has been forced out of a planned main event fight at Titan FC 28 with Jason Brilz. He added that the promotion is “working non-stop to fight an opponent….we won’t let you down.”

Magalhaes (10-7) was forced out of a planned bout at Metamoris 3 over the weekend after developing a Staph infection. He has not fought since last August when he was knocked out by Anthony Perosh at UFC 163.

Brilz (21-5-1) is on a three-fight win streak since his release in 2011 from the UFC following a loss to Ryan Bader, the same man who defeated Magalhaes in the finals of TUF.
