Lenny Fresquez, the manager for former world boxing champion Holly Holm, believes his client is well on her way to signing a deal with the UFC.

Holm, who just recently switched to MMA on a full-time basis, is 6-0. She is scheduled for a fight in early April outside of the Octagon.

“Offers went back and forth,” said Fresquez, in an interview with MMAjunkie.com. “We already had guidelines of what we were going to agree on and what we weren’t going to agree on.

“We’re still a little ways (apart) and there’s still a couple of items. We’re very excited about getting Holly into the UFC.”

Holm will fight Juliana Werner on April 4 at Legacy FC 30. She does have an out-clause in her deal with Legacy FC, Fresquez said, that allows her to head to the UFC.

As for pitting Holm with UFC female bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, the manager believes that is a “super-fight.”

“This is the biggest women’s fight in the history of any type of women’s (combat) spots,” he said. “It’s a lot of money involved in this payday. I just want to make sure Holly gets her share.”

Holm trains out of Jackson-Winkeljohn Gym in New Mexico alongside the likes of UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, Invicta FC champion Michelle Waterson and countless others.
