Former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre has shared the Octagon with Johny Hendricks for 25 minutes, scoring a decision over him in what could be his final fight.

St-Pierre dropped the title and walked away from MMA, and the UFC has paired Hendricks with Lawler. Those two meet to determine a new champion this Saturday at UFC 171.

Recently, GSP talked with Yahoo! Sports and offered up his thoughts on the world title match.

“They both have a lot of punching power and could knock you out,” GSP said. “If Johny catches him right on the chin with a good one, he could knock him out.

“But if (Lawler) hits Johny right on the chin, it is the same result.”

Pushed further for a decision, St-Pierre said “I would take Johny to win. He has the wrestling and grappling ability. That will be the difference.”

As for any update on his own future, the Canadian stated “I just need to be off and away from it for now.”
